I know I'll get downvoted for it, but I'm not bothered by this. I am always online when I play games anyway, and if this is what they need to do to protect their investment, I'm okay with this. If I owned a company that made games, seeing people steal it would be a heartbreaking thing. I don't understand how games that were, in fact, cracked and pirated actually benefited from this scheme, but I support its future implementation if it did/if it can be improved to do so. Let's be honest, saying "it only hurts honest customers" is like saying "lets use the honor system". There's millions and millions of dollars at stake with each and every game, they need to and have a right to try to protect it.
Some consumers can legitimately be confused by this "joke", especially for a series with as much casual audience as CoD. I'm on Activision's side, no matter how cool it is to hate on them.
Reach was better for fans not new people? This boggles my mind. If new people wanted MC, they wouldn't have waited to start playing until ODST or Reach! I don't agree at all, I was never really a fan of the series and barely touched it until Reach specifically because MC sucks. Oh well, Halo can go back to being one of those boring, overrated exclusives I ignore then, if this is all that awaits the series.
1) I've just literally yesterday read a dramatic narration in Edge of this very demo... and they made it sound much, much better and more emotional, so this is actually kind of a let down seeing it in action. (Not graphics-wise, the graphics are brilliant)
2) Far, far too much gun-fighting for me. I hope this isn't the tone of the full game. As Levine said in Edge they had an action heavy(ier) demo at one point and he demanded a shop to rummage through because (paraphrased) "What's more Bioshock than looking for **** in a store?" I agree with that, Bioshock was about the environments, the juxtaposition of philosophies, the tense anticipation of enemies more so than actually fighting them, and scavenging. The actual combat and strategy was happenstance. At least it looks a little smoother this time, but still.
3) I'm going to be vomiting from the skylines, aren't I? I rarely get dizzy from games, but that looks crazy.
Just my (snap) views on it. I'm sure it will end up great, but it's not IMO game of E3. Skyrim looks far, far more exciting to me.
Some people will never get over how awesome and successful Kinect has been. Hell, Wii has been #1 forever and lots of people still dismiss it. It must be nice under that bridge they live under, but you, me and others know the score.
You don't need buttons for a game like this. Did you even bother to click the link to the original? It's a browser games which uses 1 button. There is literally no button limitation on PC, yet it's a one button game. Surprisingly, some people don't require lots of buttons to have fun. This looks fun.
