Study: Gamers read, study less but still socialize
Jul 3rd 2007 11:43AM (Joystiq)Study: Gamers read and study less but still socialize.
otherwise its a little misleading.
oh and @#1 the reason why people consider books to be the main source of reading, is because thats the central idea in a book where as in videogames the main focus is mental interaction with an interface.

Nov 18th 2006 9:44PM (Joystiq)totally untrue, i got mine on launch day worked 100% fine till december 28th, i turned it on and all i got was a very loud buzzing sound. Returned it, month later same exact thing happened. returned that one the next one my harddirve failed, sent it back. 4th one they sent me a working system but for some reason sent me the same hardrive back. sent the whole thing back. my 5th same thing had a bad hardrive, sent it back. 6th worked perfectly, but they failed to send my power brick back with it, so they tell me send it all back again. Now im on my 7th and it hasnt failed in over 7 months.
It was mostly due to bad technical service, but theres no denying that there were hardware problems, i knew several other people who had to send at least 1 system back. I took care of mine exactly like i was instructed in the manual even went so far as to buy a cooling base for it, it wasnt on the carpet or in an enclosed space, just luck (or lack of) the draw. But hey i got a free wireless controller, 4000 MS points, and a couple free games. so in the end i was fine. 7th time is the charm i guess.
