See first screens of Skate It on Wii and DS

Im a complete nintendo fanboy and I have no qualms about admitting the wii screens look Shize Minelli.

But I'll aslo admit that graphics do not a good game make, and ill judge it on how it plays.

Wii Fit #1 seller in Japan for last four weeks

You cant blame nintendo for consumers not picking up 3rd party titles. Nintendo themselves have released a very decent balance of hardcore (Galaxy, Prime 3, zelda, brawl) and casual (Wii Fit, Wii Play, Wii sports, Big Brain Acadamy) games for their console since release. There has been more than enough quality titles to play, and this could be why recent third party sales have been poor.

Nobody can be blamed but the third parties themselves. Perhaps its a fitting punishment for not having faith in the wii to begin with - Ubisoft, despite their terrible games, have done pretty well for a thrid party with the wii, primarily due to the fact that they were there at launch when there were not a ton of exclusive nintendo produced wii titles to buy.

You also have to blame the individual companies marketing departments. Zack and Wiki/No more heroes havnt been released in UK, so im not sure what the promotion will be like on these titles. But what I do know is that the only adverts I ever see for wii and wii software are nintendo's in house ones.

Bottom line, if consumers arnt buying your product, its a pretty weak defense to say "Well, thats because the consumers are loyal to other brands". If your product was good, and you marketed it effectively, then it will sell. Nintendo and the wii itself cannot be blamed for poor 3rd part performance, only they can.

Stringer: PS3 is 'out of the woods'

If ANIMALS are around, animals that have EARS and can HEAR then there is no question of sound.

There is also no question of whether or not there is decomposition, nutrients or if a in its place a new twee dat da new happi lil animawas ca wiv in wiw gwo.

But none of that is sensory data. A new tree growing is not a sound.

The point fo the problem is to isolate something, in this case a sound, that can only be recieved when theire is a an applicable agent, in this case a hearer. Youve extropolated that concept to include bodies of earth and minerals in the soil. You dont get it.

This is the problem in simple terms: if X (something which requires Y to exist) is in location Z (A place where there are no Y) and (just to be clear) there really are no Y, can X exist?

You're argument is that in this example as X does not require Y to exist, which is the contention people usually make, they feel that sound can exist without a hearer. Which is why i use the taste example, because most people understand that taste cannot exist unless it is tasted.

You have not *solved* the problem, the problem does not require solution. Youve just completely failed to understand it. Then attacked it on a gaming forum of all places.

Good show old bean.

yes but its the s e n s o r y d a t a. The problem is not whether the tree or the cake is there but whether the *sound* or *taste* is there. the whole point is that those things DO require a being that can interpret sensory data. Are you making the argument that the forest itself can hear?

Wow - ive never seen the simplistic interpretation of the problem stated with such confidence. You, sir, are one of the most qualified layman to ever comment.

Ill simplify the 'paradox' (its not a paradox, but a thought experiment, but never mind). Sound is sensory data. Sure its caused by the movement of particles in the air, and this would happen whether someone is around or not. But you cant identify particle movements with sound, sound only truly exists when it is heard by a being that can hear.

Try thinking it this way: if an untouched cake is sat in the woods and noone is around to eat it, does it taste good?

Can we make this a regular feature?

Better yet, can we have a feature called 'Just the scarf'?

How about 'Spot the scarf?'

XBLA Goldeneye confirmed, also canceled

Well, if they wanted it to be like virtua cop, then perhaps the wiimote will come closer than you think.

Screw it anyway, I played it on an emulator with a dualshock, and it pretty much sucked. You'd have to at least tweak the controls to make it smooth.

They should have it on both consoles. Hell, release it for ps3 as well, they have the james bond licence. Surely everyone makes money that way.

Better yet, have the online deathmatches work across *all 3 networks*. Finally settle this 'Im better with analogue than with wiimote' debate. And never be short of opponents!
