@aconrad777 Apparently you don't know what a "spin-off" game is. Rising was never meant to be part of the canon of the MGS story. That's why they dropped the "Solid" part of the title's name and handed it over to another studio that is more competent in action games.

It was originally meant to be set between MGS2 and MGS4. Since it's now being set after MGS4, Platinum Games have been given more creative freedom with the action title.

Peace Walker will always be a more important game to the franchise than Rising ever will be.

@Ballistic H You have it wrong. Skyrim was targeted towards casual gamers. They dumbed down or got rid of a lot of RPG mechanics to make the franchise more accessible. How else do you think they got over 10 million sales? You could even say Skyrim was "baby's first" TES game.

Dark Souls was a hardcore RPG that only sold around 1.5 million copies. I fear for what's going to be dissected from Fallout 4 to make it more accessible to a larger audience, especially after the success of Skyrim.

I have a full time job and obligations, yet I still manage to enjoy video games as my hobby.

Even if there was some guy out there that invented something to save your life, someone on the internet would still end up calling that guy a "douche" out of jealousy or spite.
