It's leather, and it's been perforated. Again, not carbon fiber.

I think the non-shiny portions are black leather. Not so itchy, and far grippier than carbon fiber.

To be fair, it is a US company sponsoring the deal. You've probably got better beer where you're from, so I'd have to think you've still got a pretty sweet deal.
