@djarch depends on what kind of CPU you decide to get with a i5 (dual core) with switchable graphics gets about 8 9ish with the slice while the quad core will get something like 6 or 7ish with the slice... quad core has no switchable graphics remember that!

@JoshuaNJ yea but you'll kill your battery when using win7 on MBP. but yea you're right if you dont mind the premium and you want OSX then MBP is pretty much the only way to go. cept if you want hackintosh lol

@BigNerd the reason there is no option for 1080p is because the technology for the Radiance display cant do 1080p for the moment. if you want 1080p you'll have to move up to the envy 17 and lose some color gamut.. but you do gain blu ray so idk maybe you'd like that better? oh yea and three sub woofers!

uhh this is a review for the envy 14 and evne then you are right that dv4 is getting the same design philosophy and thats because the envys are the top tier and i kind of "whats to come" for their other laptops. but notice that you do lose beats audio and that kick ass screen by stepping down. Though for the even more budget minded this might be the perfect solution

@abcdmit the thing is im pretty sure if you're gonna get a mac book pro then you know you are gonna get a mac book pro. if you are even looking at this review you're either a windows person or an apple troll. The envy 14 gives the perfect alternative to macs because it has the specs and options of a pc with the stylings of a mac.

@DanaG ur right this only does two screens but the envy 17 does three screens beautifully with HDMI DisplayPort and VGA

@Ankur Vashi the envy 15 had it so i dont see why they would take it back out for the next generation
