I wish good lore and good writing were synonymous. I really, really want to enjoy some of the WoW novels, and in Christie Golden's case that's been possible but I've been trying to finish War of the Ancients for months now but just can't bring myself to read and like it. The comics haven't been much help either. I really think that they should focus on making a good story before trying to work it into a MAJOR plot line. I think some of the most minor quest chains have potential to be good stories and fleshed out backgrounds.
