Skullgirls delayed, cracking craniums in 2012
Sep 28th 2011 8:26AM (Joystiq)Xbox Live streaming iHeartRadio music festival this weekend
Sep 21st 2011 11:44AM (Joystiq)When you get right down to it, all this is is Clear Channel stroking their corporate ego. All those artists have most likely agreed to perform either for free or at a reduced fee in exchange for increased airplay on Clear Channel radio stations.
Two years ago, Clear Channel stations ran a constant barrage of ads decrying "the death of variety and free radio" because artists were going to start charging more royalties for their music. Clear Channel said it would result in fewer artists and songs being played over the air. The idea that Clear Channel would complain the it's the ARTISTS causing the lack of variety when it's their own corporate greed causing it is crazy.
By watching this webcast, going to the show or downloading their I Heart Radio app you are supporting corporate greed and fewer and fewer artists on the radio.

Sep 21st 2011 8:51AM (Joystiq)Jane's Addiction is the only one I would be interested in. But I have to echo your comments on Clear Channel. They are a huge media conglomerate that has successfully choked out any and all competition and variety in their stations. I live in a radio-market crossover area and get 2 seperate Clear Channel stations, both located about 50 miles away. They are both classic rock and have the same playlist. I don't mean the same playlist as in the same general songs they play, I mean the EXACT same songs only about 2 minutes apart. I can tune to one station and know that when i tune to the other the same song will be playing or about to play.
By listening to this I Heart Radio crap you are supporting the death of variety on the radio.

Feb 10th 2011 1:47PM (Joystiq)Had Activision supported the games with regular DLC and not the sporadic way they released it maybe they could have made a better go of it. The execs thought they had a cash cow and people whould eat up everything thye shoved out the door. Are you paying attention Call Of Duty? this is you future.
