Operation Rainfall begins phase 2, asks fans to buy Final Fantasy on Virtual Console August 19

Aug 13th 2011 10:40AM (Joystiq)
@KungFuChaosNinja
I'm with you. Going through all this trouble to motivate them to release games for the system we already supported by buying it is very sad.

It seems like Nintendo already started to learn their lesson with the 3DS, but it took people not buying the system by craploads and its games. If we as gamers had all bought a 3DS and every bad game available to motivate them to release more games and drop the price of the system it would have never happened.

I felt a strong connection with Nintendo in the past too, and would love it to be like that again which means I want them to succeed, but that connection was there because they were making the right decisions. Just like you said, they need to earn their business, and I won't support and 'extra'support (by buying FF) a company that is not providing what I want. I will spend that money in a game for the ps3 instead.

@frenzy I'm an economic bastard too, but hey, thanks to that I play more games and support more companies (for a little bit less but still).

Buy Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition from Capcom, get evil Bobble Budds

Do we know the difference in price between getting it as DLC or as separate disk?
I'm still on the fence about getting this although I'm a big fan of the series (not that great at playing it though). I got the last two versions as soon as they came out and could do the same with this, but I just haven't seen something about it that really grabs my attention.

Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition confirmed June 7 as DLC; retail product June 28 NA, June 24 Europe [update]

@Lerkero Well said. I love the additions, and keeping the game somewhat fresh by adding new stuff and keep supporting it is a great thing, but it is the price and the continuous charging for every little thing that makes this a shady looking practice.

PlayStation Network issues persist as hacker collective continues attacks

@PN04 I hope that happens. Someone does something wrong and other people decide to complain about it... by doing something worse. If there are people out there that need to be thought a lesson it has to be these guys, they understanding of right and wrong is completely messed up.

When this whole thing started I wasn't too opinionated about it but I believe that there are many people out there that just as me feel more outraged about the whole situation because of this latest hack and want everyone including the first two guys to pay for this crap.

Buy one 3DS game, get one half off at Toys R Us this Sunday

Buy one 3DS game, get one half off at Toys R Us this Sunday

Mar 22nd 2011 4:39PM (Joystiq)
@KiDPANDA I used to wait for toys R us to have this deal (they do it every so often) to go and get games for cheap, but realized that with the discounts that you can get at Amazon for example there are ways to get the games you want at a cheap price and just one at a time.

If you are already set that you will get those two games then it might be good to go ahead and jump on it, but if not it wouldn't hurt you to get them when you need them.

Joyswag: Dreamcast Collection, soundtrack vinyl and 'Still Thinking' hoodie

When I decided that I was going to get a Dreamcast the first thing I did was to check for my local game store and see if they had a copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2, and only after I got my copy I went to best buy to get a Dreamcast.

I was just amazed to be playing a game like that at home instead of arcades, and I can't tell you how many times did I go back to playing that game even after I got my ps2 and later the ps3.

Other games that I played a lot were Unreal Tournament, Power Stone 2 and even Metal Gear Solid thanks to the Bleemcast ;D That system kept me very happy for all that it had to offer.

Final Fantasy 4 Complete Collection's cards and costumes

Mar 12th 2011 1:47AM (Joystiq)
@The Only Girl Oh I have a lot of started RPGs that I have on the 'I'll continue playing again someday' list, but this one never made it into the list.

I could have had the opportunity to play it when I had Final Fantasy Chronicles but all I played was the Chrono Trigger disk and never touched the FFIV one, and then I lost both disks after I moved.

I prefer the remade 2D graphics over the 3D ones, so I didn't try the DS version. I hope this game doesn't fall into the backlog list.

Final Fantasy 4 Complete Collection's cards and costumes

Mar 12th 2011 1:26AM (Joystiq)
As much as this game has been remade I have never played it, but I have always been interested in doing so, and it seems like this is the best version to get for what I understand and well worth the wait.

The cards just make the deal a lot sweeter, on top of all the extra content and price, I'm very excited about this.
