This statement is misleading. Lor'danel has no docks, it is only a questing hub.

Rut'theran now has multiple docks for both Exodar and Stormwind, along with a third inactive dock where Worgen come in from their starting experience. It also is not partially underwater, it just broke off slightly from Teldrassil. The town is still roughly the same size, and still has the magical teleport tree to Darnassus, its just now an island rather than, well... a rut.

What happened here is that blizzard added new hair models to the base model, but did not add new values or a texture alignment mesh, so you end up with a mix-mashed mess, with two or more hairstyles overlapping and with textures all out of alignment.

Its a pretty easy fix overall, and its nice to see they are actually adding new hairstyles to the characters.

I've been losing faith in Joystiq for some time now, the extremely late posts (news usually days, sometimes weeks behind other sites) but this sort of pushes me over the edge.

You've written up a blog post and completely missed the entire point of the original story. That video does not even appear anywhere in the source you have linked.

Northrend and Outland are largely untouched by the expansion, updating them to fit with the new timeline would have been a large amount of work and would not have seen as much of an increase in quality when compared to the old world changes.

The two expansion continents essentially exist in a bubble, untouched by time. All events and storylines are the same. If this seems odd then just imagine that chromie meets you at the stairs of destiny in Hellfire and mentions something vague about Infinite dragons allying with deathwing, tampering with the energies of the dark portal or some such thing and tells you that you're stuck in the past until you are powerful enough to take on the greatest challenges the Twilight Hammer has to offer.
