Apr 12th 2007 10:03AM (Joystiq)If RedOctane and MS were smart they'd know that Volume would more than covered expenses. RedOctane needs to 1. release songs individually, 1. song packs by tier, and 3. the whole kit-and-caboodle - all at reasonable prices that are in line with me going out and buying the damn thing straight up at a retailer.
Volume is where it's at.
And don't tell me that "DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION" is more expensive than publishing a DVD with packaging, shipping, and moving it through the channel to retail. BS!
All the songs have been produced, the code needed to be ported and tweaked and then pushed out to Marketplace. I'm sure additionally licensing was necessary, but they'd easily make it up if only they sold the damn things at market friendly price.
RedOctane needs rethink this and know that we're all fans of this game and are more than willing to buy DLC but not if we have to bend over and hand over the KY. I'm not buying one damn piece of DLC for GH2 until they change their approach.
