I agree the sci-fi option is severely lacking for MMOs. I'm another person who just couldn't get into EVE. For anyone who's interested, you can play the STO beta at The Art Institute in California and Seattle http://www.artinstituteart.com on Jan. 18. The school is having an open house to show off the game; apparently some of their students helped make it! I'm also looking forward to the new Star Wars MMO.
For those of you on the west coast, you can play the beta for free at The Art Institute Open House (5 locations) on Jan. 18. See http://www.artinstituteart.com/.
Apparently some of their graduates helped make the game! Anyway, I for one am looking forward to it. I agree could be jerky but if the game is immersive I can put up with a little latency.
