Seriously dude, do yourself a favor and download X-Com (the original) off of steam. Its frequently on sale, and goes for at most 5 bucks when its not on sale. It is easily the best turn based tactical squad based combat game I have ever played. Nothing even comes close. After playing it for nearly 20 years (because its that much fun), I've only beaten the game once (because its that hard), yet always keep coming back (because its that much fun).

It defines the genre "Squad based tactical strategy game".

It was fun. Got killed by the golden ghost, due to maze of death. I image that was the end.

You've already got a PS3. That's one device that does everything except play nintendo and xbox games. If WiiU had dvd/br, you'd still have a ps3 that does everything except play xbox and Nintendo games, and also a Nintendo that does everything except play ps3 and xbox games.

Regardless, you'd still need both a WiiU and a ps3 to do everything. Why then spend more on the extra hardware when it doesn't get you anything you wouldn't have without spending extra?

How do you figure nintendo takes the toy mentality? You must have forgotten that the wii got Netflix around the same time as Xbox and PS3. You must have been in the restroom when Nintendo showed off flinging Internet media from the small screen to the big screen on wii u. Maybe you have amnesia about how the Wii was the first home console with a web browser. How about built in video calling?

No, I think your perception of Nintendo is colored by your preconceptions. They very clearly see their hardware as much more than a toy
