Quicksilver appears to be coming back from the dead

Fantastic news!
I still use quicksilver everyday.. remains one of my few apps that I can not live without.

+1 QuickSilver!

Final Fantasy III hits the App Store

I think that's a great strategy to follow.
I have always loved SE's games, but anything over then $10 makes me cringe.. so great to know that the drop prices once something new comes out. Might have to use this launch to pick up Chaos Rings :)

any word on if they are integrating GameCenter into their ports?

More iPad games revealed

Mar 26th 2010 6:49PM (TUAW.com)
A couple apps are starting to self identify as HD apps... or at least using the HD naming to denote that they are special for the iPad...

seems a little bit of a misapplied nomenclature but something is needed to identify the iPad version..

Beware the Newtapocalypse, a 2010 bug for the Newton MessagePad

I was just cleaning out my drawer at work the other day and found my old Newton MP2100 in the back corner.. ahh memories.

Favorite feature on it you ask? The melodic sounds it makes when you click around the UI.

( and yes i realize that i just said my favorite feature is a soundfx )

TUAW First Look: Google Quick Search Box for Mac

Jun 10th 2009 8:37PM (TUAW.com)
I have been running Quicksilver for the last couple of years and GSB for the last 9 months or so... and I am still 99% Quicksilver 1% GSB..

QS still seems to offer more functionality, but i expect GSB to surpass it at some point..

I mean its the same developer just given a clean slate to rebuild it all from the ground up. so its going to be great. just needs time and a lil support.

TUAW First Look: Google Quick Search Box for Mac

Jun 10th 2009 8:33PM (TUAW.com)
This *is* different then spotlight.

GSB and Quicksilver, both work on a 'object' + 'action' structure.

You type stuff in, to determine what the object is going to be, then you select what type of action to perform on it.

For example, your object might be a file on your desktop, and your action might be open, open with.. or copy or email...

assuming that GSB has the same type of extensibility as quicksilver we might see various plugins that allow for new Object types.. like Twitter, Adium, or Mail.

So very different then Spotlight.

Another tip... you can preload your iPhone with content via iTunes. Just drag it from your library and drop it onto your iPhone and watch it copy over.
I wish i could verify for you that it works, but im still waiting for activation.
