What say you about the other characters? Filia with a parasite, Cerebella that wears a demon for a hat, or Peacock, who was mutilated when she was 12 and reconstructed with a damaged psyche of a cartoon character?
I don't see why it wouldn't. This applies for any game really. Someone buys MW3, doesn't mean that they will automatically stop playing Gears 3 online, BF3, LoL, Killing Floor, or any other game in existence. People are just going to own both BF and CoD. - I'm not really into either right now. Nothing is wrong with them, but besides Killing Floor, I'm kind of dry with them right now.
The only DOTA I've ever played was LoL, and I just started maybe a month ago. I signed up for the beta and chose 5 heroes at random. I hope to see something back.
I remember NT originally saying that this was supposed to be Dante before we met him in DMC1. They have a plan for "if this bombs in sales, we can go back to the original like nothing ever happened." Damage control is quite funny, really. - My concern for the game isn't Dante's appearance. That has NEVER been a problem for me (though I may share some certain opinions about it. It's the combat system. I've seen gameplay footage of it, and compared to the gameplay footage of 3 and 4, it looks too wooden. Everything looks more forced than ever and not as smooth as 3 or 4. - I am curious though as to why people keep calling those with a not-so-positive opinion "whiny, idiotic fans." Not every change is good change. A game can completely change characters from the original game and still manage to be great (Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, Devil May Cry 4, etc.). Not everyone is afraid of change, but if the change is done wrong, it may lead to a poor descent on the series. That's why everyone is concerned about it. They don't want to see Devil May Cry die off slowly yet.
