I wear a white sparkly glove on my right hand and nothing else.

Miyamoto: Next Zelda will use MotionPlus for more realistic swordplay

Nov 3rd 2009 5:41PM (Joystiq)
Ummm... have you even used the motionplus? This actually sounds to me like it would make the game -more- hardcore... in that you'd have to decide where to swing in order to damage an enemy instead of just blindly flailing your arms. So in my mind this could end up being very cool, but I'm really scared about the motionplus needing calibration every 30 seconds. :/

DJ Hero sales 'modest,' analyst says; Activision refuses to comment

You're surprised that Activision ripped you off?

Scratch: The Ultimate DJ deck ain't no half-steppin'

Nov 3rd 2009 12:42PM (Joystiq)
Well, I don't know what DJ equipment you're talking about, but to me DJ Hero looks much more like the record-based setup we've had for years and years. Modern CD-based and computer-based DJ setups might look a bit more like Scratch, but they don't really have a standard 'look' to them, so it's hard to compare.

Scratch: The Ultimate DJ deck ain't no half-steppin'

Man, at first I was all for this game, but now that Activision has shown some GOOD innovation in the DJ music genre, it's really hard to get excited. Plus, I'm almost positive this will be the only Scratch game we see... it's late to the market, it's not coming to the Wii, it looks like a children's toy compared to DJ Hero's device... I hate to say it but Activision has pretty much already won this round. Let's just hope Harmonix creates a competing product stat, and includes it in their next music game!

Holy shart. With this and the online incentive program, I'm officially jealous of Europe.

OverClocked ReMix releases Xenogears fan tribute compilation

There is considerable truth to this comment. Also, the gears half of this release is considerably better than the human half.

OverClocked ReMix releases Xenogears fan tribute compilation

Ehhhh I've been listening to it for the past 30 mins and so far the "human" side is not very impressive. Sounds like a bunch of people with expensive samples who don't know how to mix or produce anything properly. And many of the arrangements are poorly crafted on top of that. :(
Still, there's also some good stuff in here, at least worth a download since it's free.

September NPD: Obviously Destined to Sell Tons

Ahhhh I'm happy to see Americans are being smart with their music game purchases.

On that note, WTF Europe?
