The Fable series, for me, goes down as the worst moral choice system because it is entirely superficial. The empty husks that are the NPCs you kill or save will cheer or loathe your name, but the only concern you have is how big your horns are. Fable III was the first to make sweeping choices...and even then those are negligible in the end, and not the essence of being a leader or a monarch.

Plenty of people can explain it better than I can, so I'll be short as I can: putting the player in as an empty husk is actually the worst thing one can do if you want there to be a real impact. It's actually better for someone to step into someone else's shoes if they really want an impact...because it's about empathy. You feel no empathy for yourself. Call me whatever you want, but Visual Novels of all things like Fate/stay night and Muv-Luv Alternative have moved me and made me feel more than ANY game toting its moral choices. They do give you choices, and some are harder to make, but it's really when they put you in a character's shoes that you truly feel something, come to understand that character, and then feel as one with them.

Even when moral choices are involved as your husk of a character, it's about empathy for others. The reason you do loyalty missions in Mass Effect 2 is because somewhere, deep down, whether it be perfectionism or to keep them alive, you have a clear-cut moral reason for helping your squadmates with their problems. And in doing so, you become a more cohesive team...and may just be able to survive impossible odds through sheer teamwork. Not even the best example really, but better than Bioshock's Little Sisters or Fable's "be a dick or not" system.

Something about the SD screenshots seem off. I mean, it can't be THAT bad, can it? But it's been a long time since I booted up DMC3 on PS3.

Still, the HD screens look great, I'm definitely picking these up, seeing as I haven't owned a copy of the first DMC...ever, despite playing the shit out of it.
