European PSN releases for August 27

Aug 27th 2009 10:35AM (Joystiq Playstation)
It means nothing of that sort. I'm not saying I haven't had fun playing other games, just not AS MUCH fun as playing Crash Commando and that's my honest opinion. I buy and play a lot of games, but gameplay-wise nothing really comes close to it in my opinion. Sure, there are games with much bigger budgets allowing for better graphics, more content and features. But to me gameplay is king. Just out of curiosity, what games on PS3 do you consider having better gameplay than Crash Commando?

European PSN releases for August 27

Seriously, those of you who haven't bought Crash Commando yet, do yourself a big favor and get it right now. It's easily the best game on PSN and I'd actually go as far as saying that it's the best game on PS3 period. With the new low price and additional DLC you'd be crazy not to get it. I haven't had so much fun playing a game since Super Mario World was released.

PSN's video content is "open for business to all studios" tonight

I really don't get the pricing on these online video services. I can go and rent a movie for $2 or less at a video store, but they expect me to pay $5.99 to download it?!

It's just too much, especially since with online content they should be able to cut the cost for each movie they rent out since there's no physical store and no physical object that has to be handled and that can only be rented out to one customer at the time.

Sure, there's the cost of the servers and the bandwidth, but these should be low enough and could also be almost eliminated by using a customer based P2P network. I realize there's a license fee also when Sony itself doesn't own the rights to the content, but still.

So, they expect us to pay a premium for the convenience. I think this is a mistake and most people will probably just continue downloading movies for free illegally until the price reaches an acceptable sweet spot.

Do you play high?

Jody Anthony:

Well, if people are sick of hearing about how great marijuana is they should probably stay away from the comments to an article called "Do you play high?", no?

And actually, I would very much like to hear from people that think it's bad as long as they have a good reason why they don't like it. Of course cannabis is not for everyone, I can understand that. What drives me crazy are ignorant people spreading lies and false propaganda without even reflecting for a second over what they are saying. They just keep repeating what they've heard somewhere else like a braindead parrot. For the love of God, don't do stupid crap like that!

To keep this post on topic: Have you ever played Super Mario World... on weeeeeeed?! It's freakin' awesome! =)

Do you play high?

It's really sad to read people's ignorant opinions about marijuana. If you don't want to smoke it, fine (although, you're really missing out =) ). But stop shoving that bullshit down our throats!

Go and read a study about it instead, you can start here: http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Study_finds_marijuana_use_leads_to_brain_development_in_rats

Cannabis really is one of the safest drugs known to mankind and not toxic at all, unlike for example our society's favorite drug Nr 1: alcohol. Did you know for example that the active substance in cannabis, THC, is naturally occuring in your own body?

Sure, it's not good for your lungs to smoke weed. But causing brain damage?! Sheesh... it never stops to amaze me how gullible most people are.

As for playing games when in the enhanced state of mind that marijuana gives you, I think it's really great. You tend to notice all the small details more and of course enjoy the graphics and sound more than usually. I also find it easier to connect emotionally with games (and everything else) after smoking. It really gives you a different experience, I highly recommend it!

Sorry about the rant, but you people are really getting on my nerves. So, if you could just stop spreading lies and false propaganda about this wonderful plant that would be great. Ok, thanks.
