Marvel vs Capcom 3's complete intro captured

Feb 3rd 2011 4:19PM (Joystiq)
I still don't like the mix of world's, I'd rather just Marvel or Marvel vs. SF. I'm loving the Marvel side and can tolerate SF characters since they have super powers and have a similar art style but a lot of these anime looking characters and mortals like Haggar (what's he going to do vs. Magneto, hit him with a pipe?!) just kind of ruin the aesthetic in my opinion. I hope they let me turn on Marvel only characters.

However, this overall looks great and I can't wait to play Modok, She-Hulk, Super Skrull and some of the other new Marvel folks. I hope they get Daredevil and the Silver Surfer for DLC or a Marvel-only game.

WWE All Stars preview: Grappling with change

@RENEgadeRSO Nope. You're wrong. I had both and would only buy the 64 games with their "inferior" graphics.

It was the speed of real wrestling. The wrestlers behaved realistically, they were realistically proportional and the double team moves were awesome and not all janky like they were on the PS. Occasionally you would have some weird polygon issues but it was better than the "chicken with his head cut off" behavior of the Smackdown! crap.

There was great tension when you locked up and when you won you knew why you won, not because you were the superior button masher. It was really satisfying to beat an accomplished player.

The new games are just plain shit. The load times kill me too, looping those awful Nu-Metal songs while I stare at a graphic of the latest no-personality WWE star.

Give me the legends (and a few current mid card guys) and the AKI engine with minor tweaks. Keep the "lame" graphics if it means I can have 10+ wrestlers in the ring for a Royal Rumble or a real Survivor Series match.

@djseifer I want a Marvel only option!

I'm one of those weirdos. I'm looking to get a whole visual pinball one day soon.

I think we might not be considered "weirdos" if there were more quality sims like Pinball FX and most of the Williams collection.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 trailer features Tron Bonne, pure magic

Looks great but I'd rather have more Marvel and no Capcom. Or at least an option to turn off the Capcom stuff occasionally.

Atari attempts to revive itself by bringing the old classics online

@m66 I have to agree that Yar's Revenge was a gem. I'd rather play that then a lot of HD crap, certain more fun than trying to pull down the Super Star Destroyer in The Force Unleashed. The 2600 wasn't all bad, I played the hell out of it but the arcade games still hold up really well, at least in my opinion. Go to Klov and search for Atari 1977-1984, pretty strong line up.

So many golden age arcade games were made by Atari. They had the coolest cabinets and some of the best games. The 2600 was fun because it was the only game in town but Atari's strength was in the quarter munching department. Bring on the Tempest, Asteroids Deluxe and the some two player Space Duel.

@NCase Neither was Frogger (it was a Sega property but was on the 2600, just like everything else).

@MrScottFletcher ...and isn't it illegal?

San Francisco rolls out new smart parking meters with 'demand-responsive pricing'

@sweet greggo part deux I agree. This seems like price gouging which I thought was illegal. If gas stations or hardware stores did this when say, a hurricane was approaching, it would be a crime.
