"Sorry, no word on Xiaoyu"

Other than the fact that she's in the gameplay video...

Actually filming for the Tester was done a while ago, he's not busy with it anymore... unless he won, of course.

@Dick Socrates
Wut? The way he talks is similar, but his subject matter and, well, the whole point of his sequelitis videos are completely different. It's like you paid no attention to what he was saying.

@RickGhastly
Actually, at his panel at Magfest, Egoraptor said he hasn't played Castlevania 3 yet, so he's just not familiar with it.

Bulletstorm review: It's raining fun, hallelujah

Feb 22nd 2011 1:58PM (Joystiq)
@Ospov
After seeing lots of impressions of people playing the demo, I did come to one conclusion: people who didn't like the demo were playing it like it was any other bland/boring/generic FPS, rather than really having fun with finding skillshots and different ways to kill enemies, or speed-running the levels to maximize your score.

If you're playing it like CoD, it will be as bad as CoD. If you decide to experiment and have fun with it, then you're actually playing it properly and it will be a much more fulfilling experience.

Namco: Enslaved was launched at the wrong time

Feb 12th 2011 10:36AM (Joystiq)
The problem with Enslaved was that it was a bad button-masher that was so easy that it might as well play itself. I know most people don't care about gameplay anymore (since most "gamers" now aren't really gamers), but here the gameplay was just really boring, it was even worse than in the average bad button-mashing action game (see: God of War and its millions of bad clones).

What if Kratos were in every game?

Feb 10th 2011 10:45PM (Joystiq)
"What if Kratos were in every game?"

Then every game would suck. Kratos is such a bad character in every way (personality or lack thereof, visual design, writing, backstory, EVERYTHING about him sucks) that he'd destroy every game he'd be in.

Game & Watch: Ball now available as Club Nintendo reward

Feb 9th 2011 11:41PM (Joystiq)
I've always wanted a Game & Watch, so this is awesome. I would have liked a different game, like Fire or Oil Panic, but this is better than nothing and is the first time I really want to spend my coins on something they're offering.... and I did, can't wait to receive it.

EEDAR's Jesse Divnich estimates NGP will cost $300 to $350

Jan 27th 2011 9:03PM (Joystiq)
@Faenix
Yeah, and Sony selling the thing at a HUGE loss? The screen alone costs around 200$ to produce, and then there's the quad-core CPU, the fairly powerful GPU (both the CPU and GPU have to be really small since they have to fit in the casing which brings up their cost), a GPS, 3G stuff, 2 microphones, 2 cameras, the touchpad on the back, multiple card-readers, speakers, the wireless connection stuff, lots of motion sensors, the actual casing, and I don't know what else.

This is gonna cost a lot to manufacture. There's no way it's going to cost much less than 400$, let alone 250$. People estimating lower prices are kidding themselves/being stupid. I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being 550$, and Sony ending up explaining that "of course it's affordable considering all the awesomeness within the console".

Sony wants NGP hardware to be profitable and affordable
