Seven free iOS apps to help you out in the lab
Apr 18th 2011 12:19PM (TUAW.com)Mac OS X Lion to tone down the Aqua
Apr 16th 2011 8:16AM (TUAW.com)I do know what I am talking about. FYI I am a software Engineer.
By mentioning Linux I am talking about the most popular Distros and the most popular skins used in the most common desktop environments and mostly Xorg Windowing systems.
Distros: Ubuntu, Mint, Debian, Fedora, Mandriva, SUSE. And the Desktop environments they mostly use: Gnome, KDE, LXDE, XFCE.
All of these include square buttons by DEFAULT. And most people will use the defaults.
When most non-geeks think Linux they will think square buttons as that's what is the default and not everyone is going to change the skins or GUI.
Mac OS X Lion to tone down the Aqua
Apr 12th 2011 5:09PM (TUAW.com)iOS does have round buttons as Charles said. Open up any page in safari that has buttons like google and you will see it.

More eBook trouble for Amazon
Feb 6th 2010 12:34AM (TUAW.com)ebooks have existed before the Kindle. And there is plenty of competitors to the Kindle. Nook, Rex, Sony, etc.
Untill now prices have been reasonable, but now Apple wants publishers to raise their prices just to destroy the competition. That's totally arrogant and unfair.
If you follow other sites other than TUAW and see some actual surveys, there are very few people that would pay high prices for ebooks. In their atempt to destroy the Kindle and the Nook apple may end up destroying the ebook industry as a whole.
The iPad might be a great media player, but it is not the best ebook reader. Where is the easy to read e-ink, FREE wireless, and weeks of battery life?
And by the way the nook and Kindle apps are available on the iPhone, so iBooks will not be the only option on the ipad.
HSN Salesman Breaks TV With Wiimote: Real or Fake?
Oct 25th 2009 6:42PM (Switched)These kind of accessories are not approved by Nintendo and are very low quality.
Reggie's still spinning that "we're working on it" line for Wii storage
Sep 8th 2008 5:40PM (Engadget)Nintendo just has to make a software update to allow us to directly run VC and Wiiware from the SD card.
There are no excuses, homebrew emulators have proven that ROMs on the sd card run as fast as VC games.
Miyamoto and Reggie talk storage solutions, peripherals
Sep 8th 2008 1:03PM (Joystiq Nintendo)THE WII ALREADY HAS AN SD CARD SLOT!!!!!
Nintendo just needs to write a software update that allows you to run VC and Wiiware from the SD card.
And don't say it is too slow. The hombrew emulators have already proven it is possible to run ROMs at native speed from the SD card.
Palm Centro 2 leaked, lacking QWERTY? (update: nope)
Aug 11th 2008 7:04AM (Engadget)Dude research your facts before you say you have "insider info".
This is a photo a photoshop project a student designed for a marketing class, it has nothing to do with the real Palm.
The student posted his picture on Deviantart, here is the original picture with his explanation:

By the way the picture was posted on November 22, 2007, quite a long time a go LOL.
