Ghost Trick possesses Japan June 24, Capcom releases demo

Mar 11th 2010 6:56PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I'm calling it: this awesome shit right here will be the Zack and Wiki of 2010. Thousands will laud, few will actually play.

Trine on 360 'likely will not happen'

Feb 13th 2010 5:19AM (Joystiq)
I sent this in as soon as I came across it a few days ago. Granted that it's good pool to have some details behind the situation, but I was hoping that anyone who was holding out for the 360 version would be able to see it in time to take advantage of the Steam sale.

High Voltage Studios reveals The Grinder to be multiplatform

Feb 5th 2010 3:12PM (Joystiq)
I was referring to when it was originally shipped exclusively for the Wii and the pursuant reaction from the HD coterie to the positive response it got: "NMH? Overrated, pleeze."

Of course, that all changed a few months ago when it was announced for the other consoles. Such is the natural trajectory of fanboyism.

High Voltage Studios reveals The Grinder to be multiplatform

I can understand the sour grapes over No More Heroes and the subsequent celebration of its arrival on the HD consoles.

But The Conduit? An exceptionally generic entry in a pool that's already awash with banality?

Trust me, you're not missing much.

'Sex Box' exposé might be the greatest news report of all time

Feb 2nd 2010 3:17PM (Joystiq)
Close! KDVR is actually a NewsCorp. O&O, which means that they do fall beneath the standards of Dennis Swanson's corporate news division. Most of these stations are in the top 20 markets for Fox News, and Denver sits pretty right on top of the station that I used to work for.

What needs to be noted here is that it isn't Swanson (nor NewsCorp. or Roger Ailes) that mandates the daily content that an O&O puts to air. Send those e-mails to the shift Executive Producer at KDVR.

Climax: We want to make another Silent Hill

Jan 27th 2010 2:06AM (Joystiq)
Akira Yamaoka worked on the music for most of the series, but was also in a Producing role for 3 and 4. Just as well (and not that this counts), he executive-produced Homecoming.

Team Silent's well was beginning to run a bit dry near the end, anyway. I hope they can bring Yamaoka's orchestration back for future projects, though.

Irrational revisits scrapped BioShock, System Shock 2 features

Jan 27th 2010 1:53AM (Joystiq)
I wonder if they had a narrative clause for why Bioshock stutters on my quad-core like John Daly does in front of the ABC.

And yes, I got it working correctly - after two days.

Team Fortress 2 updates won't stop after final class gets new content

To bring you up to speed:

The FaN had it's knockback restored. It works somewhat like the Flamethrower's compression, but I've been experiencing some inconsistent results with it.

Also, you neglected to mention that the Flare Gun now encumbers its target with Mini-Crit status.
