Google's Android OS early look SDK now available
Nov 12th 2007 1:49PM (Engadget)After looking at the SDK and other literature briefly, one of the most unique and interesting aspects of android is this:
"Android does not differentiate between the phone's basic and third-party applications -- even the dialer or home screen can be replaced."
This is sssuuuupppppeeeerrrrr unique among phone OS. This level of access and application replacement is what is necessary to truly customize or reskin a phone. I dont know of any other OS that offers this (although I am not an expert). Very interesting.

Crysis PC requirements: a new PC
Oct 10th 2007 10:36AM (Joystiq)Although the PC still offers the best visuals and (arguably) control set, the sheer cost of trying to keep up with the latest and greatest PC game is mind blowing. Not to mention that after making the investment its not going to be enough to run the next kick-ass game that comes out a year later.
Consoles are so much cheaper and more accessible. You may sacrifice rrreeeaaallllyyyy top end graphics, but you get long product life paired with good graphics and enough money left over to pay rent.
I am sure Crysis will be pretty, but this almost seems like irresponsible development...
