Mar 4th 2012 11:30AM (Joystiq)More of these lame troll comments with your "sukxx Blah" comments after your "bro" comments - no logic, no critical thinking, no smart rebuttal - just copy and paste from what other morons are posting these days. It's pathetic.

Mar 4th 2012 11:27AM (Joystiq)I'm not sure how my preference of one service over another, and stating it on a blog about gaming, automatically constitutes me as a fanboy for one console or the other. The reality is I enjoy every console for different reasons (and I do own all of them - which is easily more than the trolls that replied to me can say)
Clearly I struck a chord with you that upset you, which is why you commented. Maybe you need to grow up and stop being so sensitive. We're just debating gaming preferences - just some trolls like the one's who responded to my post don't bother adding any rebuttals, they just respond with ignorance. I stand by everything I say, Xbox Live is by far a superior service and I don't mind paying for it - if you don't agree - prove me wrong.
Rumor: Valve working on 'Steam Box' console standard with customizable controller, biometrics
Mar 3rd 2012 10:03PM (Joystiq)I've never heard of Verge before, and I assume it's because they're one of the less relevant gaming news sites online - and this is probably just a cry for attention.
Having said all this, would I be against a 4th console made by Valve - absolutely not, because knowing Valve, I would instantly have access to all my great Steam games on a system fully compatible with playing said games without the limitations of my crap PC. My only concern is that if this rumour was true, it sounds like there's too much "openness" in terms of control - which is no good. It's bad enough with the current three offering so many different control options (such as accessories that rarely get any use, the Wii Zapper, the Kinect, the "Move", etc) - I would hate another console to follow this trend, but take it steps further!
Bottom line, more competition is great for consumers!

Mar 3rd 2012 9:09PM (Joystiq)LOL, classic fanboy responses. Anything but the facts.
What is so "squeaky clean' about Sony's service? It's consistently crap - full of lag, constant & lengthy title updates (because they don't know how to actually patch games, as they've figured out on Xbox Live) and these monthly service shut downs.
And don't even talk about exploits - Sony's service was down for weeks last year - more down time in one period of time than Microsoft's service has been down in total since it started.
$60 a year for a service that has significantly less lag, faster updates, far fewer downtimes and far more exclusives - sounds great to me. Enjoy doing nothing tomorrow you Sony Fanboys...
Asura's Wrath review: Wrecking the curve
Feb 23rd 2012 11:22AM (Joystiq)Joystiq needs to have a internal meeting and discuss reviewing/rating standards. Maybe even do away with the idiotic 5 star rating, and replace it with something more useful. The best reviews I ever read were Kotaku's older style reviews, that finished each piece with a "Good" and "Bad" section. Simple and to the point.
Asura's Wrath DLC isn't kidding about this 'anime-inspired' stuff
Feb 21st 2012 4:09PM (Joystiq)I'm not talking about the graphic style, it was fresh and unique.
I'm not talking about the story - even though it is probably more bloated garbage from the land of the Rising Sun. I hate games that feel like the story is a metaphor for high school drama. I didn't pay $60 to play Glee (without the often times catchy music...).
I'm talking about the gameplay - a constant stream of QTE's is not my idea of a good time (unless it's in the context of Rock Band, which is essentially a non-stop barrage of QTE). When are game developers going to learn that QTE's are Boring at best (press A repeatedly to out muscle a 1,000 ton giant!) and Frustrating at worst (press A at the exact... oh, you missed it - try again).
