Canned Call of Duty: Devil's Brigade was like Inglourious Basterds on steroids
Feb 21st 2012 4:04PM (Joystiq)The screen above is in first person, yet the article indicates it was a third person game. Was it a little like Metroid: Prime/Thief 3 where you could change perspective based on the situation? Or do the writers here just get easily confused?
Hopefully when the "Modern Shooters" lose their appeal, Activision will green light this one...

Achievements suggest Assassin's Creed: Revelations single-player DLC
Feb 16th 2012 1:10PM (Joystiq)I'm concerned this will be another "deleted scene" DLC like we saw in Assassin's Creed 2 (and recently in Square Enix's Deus Ex). For me, deleted scene content (content that is within the context of the story, and not something that takes place after the game) should be offered for cheap or free (as a Thank You to players).
Deleted Content like this was intended for the game, but scrapped so they would have something to add as DLC (or, as developers might say, scrapped due to time/budget constraints).
Revelations was a great game, but I can't see myself wanting to go back within the confines of the story.
Who knows, maybe I'm wrong and the content takes place before or after the storyline (which doesn't really make sense considering everything except Desmond's story was "completed".)
Notch reels in Psychonauts 2 talk
Feb 16th 2012 1:01PM (Joystiq)I'm not saying buddy doesn't have the opportunity to grow into a industry great - he clearly has some talent. But people need to dial down the Notch is god attitude.
Let's sit back and watch him - see if he can repeat Minecraft's success with another game before we soak up every line of text that spews from his mouth.

Feb 8th 2012 11:33AM (Joystiq)Keep in mind, any Xbox Live Rewards members get 5% back from purchases this month... not much... works out to be about 20 MSP for every 400 you spend - but it's something.
Vita 'UMD Passport' won't be offered in US
Feb 7th 2012 9:58PM (Joystiq)You need help buddy. Defending a system that's not even out yet. A system that's part of a lineage of crap systems - the PSP sucked, at least compared to the competition.
What experiences do you get on Vita? PS3 experiences. Almost every game that's been announced for Vita would be better played on a couch on the big screen (PS3). The 3DS takes a proper approach to handheld gaming - bite size experiences that consume small amounts of time.
Sony made a mistake with PSP - this is why some of the PSP's greatest games eventually made their way to PS3. Now, they're releasing an "improved" PSP (with ZERO backward compatibility) and charging $250.00 (plus the ridiculous price of memory cards, etc).
I don't buy what Sony is selling with this Vita, nothing has been shown or announced that would justify a purchase. The 3DS has already proven itself. 3DS hasn't been as successful as it should have been, or could have been, but it was still successful - and if anyone thinks for one moment that lifetime sales of the Vita will EVER be better than 3DS - then they're only kidding themselves.
On another note - don't be a baby about insults when it was you who issued the first insults. Insults aside - I've issued my thoughts - now what's yours?
