Modern Warfare 3 Elite maps locked to one profile on one console
Jan 25th 2012 8:26PM (Joystiq)Yup, looks like I can download the content on multiple Xbox's, as long as I use the same Gamertag.
Whew... thought I would have to open a can of "Whoop-Ass"... I reach for a can of Diet Pepsi instead...

Jan 25th 2012 11:49AM (Joystiq)Since I only care about new maps: 12 maps/$30 = $2.50 per map. Not bad at all for value. The added missions and modes will just be extra bonuses, just like the double XP, etc.
The first two maps aren't bad; they're complex - which should make for some fun battles. I'm really interested to know if they'll re-release some classic maps or if everything will be fresh and new. My personal hope - everything's new - then instead of a brand new COD next November, they release a COD multiplayer only game which includes every map from every COD game (from COD 4 onwards). Include every gun and different lobbies/playlists for different "styles" of gameplay (since there are subtle differences between each game).
So, if I want to play some old COD4 maps with Black Ops Perks - I can (for example).
No campaign, maybe some Spec Ops (at least Survival) and Zombies as well. Just the multiplayer stuff.
Resident Evil 6 announced by Capcom, arriving November 20 on 360/PS3 with PC version later
Jan 20th 2012 12:23PM (Joystiq)It looks like 3 concurrent story-lines intersecting throughout the game which is just brilliant. Gives us a vast perspective on the overall story and not just one or two characters journeys.
And if I was to wager - I'd bet that girl with the "new guy who wants money" is the girl Ashley Graham from Resident Evil 4.
Now, my only hope is that this game features the same great 2 player co-op available in Res 5.

Jan 18th 2012 12:07PM (Joystiq)Gearbox Software has been steadily becoming one of the best developers this generation and Randy Pitchford seems like such an awesome guy - be great to work for him.
My biggest hope - after Borderlands 2 and Aliens: Colonial Marines are released, they announce and release a follow up to Duke Nukem Forever. I know Duke's got some haters, but I loved the game and the franchise - and a "ground up" Duke game from Gearbox would undoubtedly remedy any of the technical issues gamers had with Forever.
Rumor: Thief 4 features online play, runs on Unreal Engine
Jan 17th 2012 2:33PM (Joystiq)The stealth in all thee Thief games still has not been done better in ANY "stealth" game since (some close contenders, the recent Deus Ex and the recent Splinter Cell did stealth well - but not quite as good)
The protagonist in the Thief games was just cool, and so well voiced as well. The voice acting as a whole was top notch as well - the banter between guards is still some of the best (and funniest) we've heard in gaming.
I have super high hopes for this game and this series.

Jan 12th 2012 1:26PM (Joystiq)I loved the Bad Company (1 & 2) storylines. Fun protagonists that are rare in the recent string of "modern warfare" style games.
Multiplayer was good too, but with Battlefield 3 available, I imagine the amount of people playing Bad Company 2 online will dwindle quite a bit.

Jan 12th 2012 1:24PM (Joystiq)Single player wasn't anything special, but I enjoyed the multiplayer. Unfortuantely, the amount of people playing the game online (at least on 360) has decreased significantly. It might be better on PC.
If you haven't played Bulletstorm or Dead Space 2, I would recommend them over Medal of Honor any day of the week.
