I'm looking at the site of this building right now; I work right beside it. I wish it wasn't being built; it's really making the neighbourhood ugly and will block a lot of sun.

That was cringe-worthy. The day when people stop recreating fights from the Matrix, using music from the Matrix, can't come soon enough.

That was hilarious. I had to listen to it a couple of times. It was addictive, like anything bad for you is addictive. When his voice hits that magic pitch -- it's like God himself is raining down the genuis. Thanks for the chuckles!

The images alone, to me, do not convey any overt messages of racist intent. Being somewhat familiar with the world of fashion photography, I don't find it difficult to understand these photos as iconic, exaggerated set-ups. But I must admit to find the ad in its entirety—coupled with the copy, "White is Coming," a little unsettling.

I don't think this is blatant racism. I do, however, think it's a poor ad from a marketing point of view. I am unsure of the PSP's projected image in Holland, but it seems like Sony is all over the place with their advertising. There's never a consistent message.

And getting back to what's important: white or black, where are the games?

It's all true! At the end of my NES's life I had some crazy tricks to get that thing to work. I had a routine!

The Metroid series was never as popular in Japan as it is in the west. Nintendo made Metroid first-person because, I imagine, they thought that was its future. Knowing that Japanese gamers prefer third-person games was of little consequence.

I also think the notion of always seeing your character on-screen is ridiculous. But in Japan, a lot of effort is put into designing, marketing, and selling products based on characters. It's hard to do that if you're an arm and a gun, I suppose.

Yeah, that's a premature declaration. The two controllers (Wii and PS3) look to function completely differently. Using a Wii remote as, say, an FPS weapon is a completely different exercise than doing barrel-rolls in Warhawk. And like other have said, there is only one game currently at E3 that makes any use of the PS3's motion sensitivity. It will likely be a while before developers even bother.
