Keep in mind, wifi 'link' speeds are completely theoretical. Even under ideal conditions, achieving a throughput that is more than 35% of the rated speeds is a minor miracle. 802.11n requires multiple channels to be free (channel bonding) for maximum speed, and even then protocol and frame overheads, interference (2.4Ghz is a REALLY busy spectrum shared by bluetooth, home phones, wireless keyboards/mice etc.), two way communications, Encryption, all significantly cut into that bandwidth.
As your distance grows to more than 3 feet of the router, the speeds start dropping from even that.
I'll be gobsmacked if I get more than 100mbit in my home with a gigabit rated wifi setup.
The Z series don't share that much in common with the F series from a nav standpoint (among other things). This is using an updated version of Pioneers in-house nav software, not the iGo software that the F series uses. Lot more features.
Given the very strong support for anime dvds with a subtitle track and fansubbed anime without english language audio, I'd say the fans that want the original japanese audio track are legion.
It's definitely a TN film panel. Go to Dell specs look at the viewing angle under tech specs - 160 degrees. That's definitely TN Film. If viewing angle and color shifts don't matter to you this may be a good deal. They matter to me, so no sale.
The color extents (92% Adobe, etc) are determined by the backlight, not the panel type (S-IPS, S-PVA, TN Film, etc.)
This monitor can't adjust the aspect ratio of external inputs. This means 16:9 content is slightly stretched to 16:10, and 4:3 content via any of the analog inputs is really stretched to 16:10. Those planning to use it exclusively as a computer monitor (especially with an Nvidia card which can force aspect ratio when using 4:3 resolutions on a widescreen monitor with black bars on the side) won't miss this feature. Other than the stand (you can replace it with an aftermarket stand if it really bothers you) this is an excellent monitor. Input lag and blur are lower than the Dell and Apple monitors. Keep an eye out for reviews of the new Gateway 24" if any of the benq shortcomings bother you.
TI (Texas Instruments) has launched this "dual-format" DLP chip at a smaller size and lower cost than the old 1280x720 Darkchip2 HD2+ chip, it can output both 1280x720 natively (16:9) with the top and bottom blanked out - with a front projector you have a masked screen so you don't see any overlap, OR 1024x768 in a 4:3 native format with the sides blanked out. With power zoom and an electrical masking system you could have both a 4:3 and a 16:9 screen with native resolutions of 1024x768 and 1280x720 respectively. This chip is also used on the Optoma HD72 and the Mitsubishi HC3000 and HC4000. The Infocus IN76 also uses the chip but its forced to 16:9 mode only on that projector.
