@Crayola Q Pants ESQ - It's possible that there's some of that, but the yen is *abnormally* strong this year. For a long time, it was about equal with the US dollar ($1=100Y), and a few years ago the dollar was stronger. Today's exchange rate is $1=81Y.

Take it from someone who imports from Japan a lot (and who knows firsthand just how much the exchange rate sucks >_

@Punkrawk Bbob - Starting with FFVII, Amano has been the "image illustrator" for the series, which is not the same thing as "character designer", which Nomura has been for most of the numbered games since.

Compare Amano's character designs from the FFs up to FFVI with Nomura's, and you'll see the stylistic differences. If Amano did come up with the character designs in the first place, they'd likely look closer to the Nomura-ized Dissidia versions of Terra, Bartz, et al., which retain some of that original Amano flavor. That said, there's no question in my mind that FFVII's character designs originated with Nomura.

@Nolan North - Cloud's also going to have his AC costume from the first Dissidia, plus his Kingdom Hearts getup as DLC (in Japan, at least).

Anyway, I like the Amano outfit. Kinda wish they redid his hair, though, to better match the original illustrations.

How is the Epic Mickey score nomination out of left field? Because the game isn't "hardcore" enough?

Good music is good music, and Disney's songs and scores for their animated films have won tons of awards in the past, so I'm not *that* surprised.

I was just there this past weekend, too! Thought it was weird that most of the Pokedolls in the Pokemon area were of Jigglypuff and a blue one (can't remember which), but I guess this explains it. I'm all for a renovation just as long as the Pokedoll situation goes back to normal :P

@Anticrawl - No, s/he means bedbugs. Yes, they are a real species. They are one of the normal hazards of living in and around NYC.

@Dopple Boppler - Looking forward to Kirby as well (BTW, great Dungeon Man avatar).

@Enosoma - You mean the segment with the Bullet Bill cannon? It's really subtle, but you can see the clouds slowly moving right across the sky.

I agree that it was kind of silly to have to redraw the other elements of those frames, though.
