@CaptainHairy - The ESRB ratings system is voluntary, like the MPAA movie ratings (and PEGI) are. There is no legal requirement in the United States to rate games for different age groups; if there was one, it would be a First Amendment issue.

@PN04 - Hell, there are JRPGs from the previous gen that I still haven't gotten around to yet, so I'm relieved for the break as well. Just hope it isn't a sign of things to come, but I doubt it will be; seems like a temporary lull more than anything else.
