These are always so silly as the video game can not comprehend the subtle details of player on player match ups, deep and methodical play calls prepared weeks before, and Belichick's pack with Satan.
I used to own a NGP color and it was just awesome. Loved my gamboy but the dpad/stick was just amazing on that thing. Sonic Pocket adventure and Match of the millenium where fantastic games.
This thing looks pretty cool. Now if only I could make calls from it....
I know there is a legitimate grip with how the series is turning out when it comes to these 3rd party characters but something about Ezio in SCV feels....right. Maybe if Namco didn't abuse the idea so much it would feel way cooler.
I really enjoyed reading this as the "Rogue" genre has recently become a favorite of mine.
I haven't tried BoI yet but it looks like I must now. The iphone library also has a surprising amount of quality Rogue games. 100 Rogues comes immediately to mind for me. Pixel Slime and Legend of Yore are also fun, yet very basic.
I think the ability to create a game that has random elements and levels really is a testament to high caliber game design. Rogue titles seem to fit this well, at least the ones I've played.
Many iphone games are "quick play" with not much content, justifying the low price. Doesn't mean the games are low in quality and fun but many aren't worth more then say a few bucks imho.
I don't think Mario 3DS is a good comparison. Soul Calibur is an old game that's been ported before AND is CHEAPER on platforms that offer a better experience in content/visuals/control (opinion but I think people would agree).
So is the premium of the game being portable on your cell phone worth $15? I would argue no.
In comparison, Street Fighter 4 was $10 bucks (I think) when it came out. SF 2 Collection was $4.
I agree that it won't pass but that's BECAUSE of all the hype. These companies wouldn't have pulled out if their customers said "Yes, please kill the internet." The whooping amount of negative reactions and press has been a huge blow in hurting SOPA.
Something as simple as Google blacking out it's banner is going to get THAT much more hype/awareness. Heck, I can't even wiki myself today.

Jan 26th 2012 10:16AM (Joystiq)I read somewhere that they are apparently redoing the physics to emulate the older games and that sounds like music to my ears.
The generation levels were really well designed but the gameplay still felt a little...off? Maybe I've gotten bitter.
