May 21st 2009 7:55PM (Joystiq)On the topic of respect, any idiot with ANY sense of respect for HIS peers wouldn't speak so damn contemptuously of their dev team as Kojima so often does. Do you even remeber the older MGS2 or 3 trailer? These are the people who actually do the bulk of the work, rather than rub their self-satisfaction all of the public, and yet every time he has something to say, he talks about them like a burden of useless individuals who's work can't compete with his grand vision. How would you feel if you put in hundreds, perhaps thousands of hours of hard work programming, modeling characters or designing sound, or even the dirty work of testing and your boss took no chance to thank you, but rather talk about how much better it wouldve been if he couldve done it all himself? I don't know about you, but I take pride in the work I do, and I would be pretty damn pissed off.
Then again, if you do ever happen to get into the game industry, or any creative industry whatsoever, I'm sure there is the possibility you'd enjoy having your hard work constantly publicly berated by your boss. Whatever floats your boat.

So basically, in response to your defense that you posted to all these commenters... You are basically saying that, theoretically, if I bought the name, say "Final Fantasy", and made a crappy hack job "sequel" that introduced absolutely nothing new, and then the original creators created another franchise that was similar except improved upon it almost every way conceivable, but gave it a different name... they would be shameless knockoffs of me? AWESOME. I LOVE YOUR LOGIC!
