Patch 3.2.2: Trial of the Champion improvements

Sep 27th 2009 8:47AM (WoW)
Wait what?

Did you really just pull the race card for a fictional race that has not and will never exist?

(Excluding of course possible mutations from the Nuclear Holocaust but i'm still hoping for zombies over orcs. )

The Art of War(craft): Season 7 and the Battleground PvPer

Is that confirmed for 3.3? I thought that we were getting rated BGs with the new expansion. If so then hell yeah but I still think its further off than 3.3.

Behind the scenes of the Dragon Queen costume

I think it all turned out pretty decent.

And props to her for all the work put into it. Half the costumes were just some guys using the contest as an excuse to wear their LARPing gear to blizzcon.

Breakfast Topic: Does the Background Downloader get you fired up?

Jul 20th 2009 1:52PM (WoW)
This is me as well.

I was having a decent time playing up until I read the 3.2 patch notes and it just kinda stole my thunder. In fact I hardly even log any anymore because I know that for me everything on my character's to do list is going to be significantly easier in 3.2 and in most cases far more rewarding.

I wish they would just hot fix the badge change so i wouldnt feel like running a heroic right now is a waste of time (mostly naxx 10/25 so the heroic gear isnt worth anything to me but the ulduar badge gear is very nice).

I look at leveling my alt then i think about the tome of cold weather flying (lock at 70 ugh land mounts).
Fixing a few rough gear spots on my (main alt) pally and then the new heroic dungeon loot catches my eye.

I know its probably the most retarted thing to complain about but with all the (awesome in my opinion) changes coming in 3.2 logging in is gettting harder and harder.

Officers' Quarters: Managing your lockouts

You are a complete and utter tool.

No matter how shortsighted or poorly thought out the arguments on either side may be, a response such as yours merely highlights your appalling intellectual deficiency. The fact that your can only add poorly written sarcasm to this issue indicates that you should simply stop posting.

WoW, Casually: What Patch 3.2 means for casuals

Jun 25th 2009 12:26PM (WoW)
Because at 80 gear progression is character advancement.

It really is that simple. If you cant advance your character there's no point in playing. And it does make sense that you should be able to do so in the same style of playing that you leveled in (be that 20hrs a week or 5).

There is honestly no reasonable logic to combat this. If if hurts you so badly that someone with less time might get your gear after youve sharded yours to enchant the next tier then maybe YOUR NOT REALLY THAT HARDCORE.

WoW, Casually: What Patch 3.2 means for casuals

Jun 25th 2009 12:06PM (WoW)
I think the 2 month estimate is accounting for the fact that you wont complete both every single day (as in the whole CASUAL aspect of the article).

The tier pieces are most likely going to be in the 60 badge range (give or take) judging from previous tiers.

No to mention that the daily is bound to be Occulus from time to time and while I have a few achievments from there I simply refuse to go back.

The only instance in WOTLK that I truly hate.

Breakfast Topic: Did the Patch 3.2 news bring you back to the Tournament?

Jun 24th 2009 8:28AM (WoW)
I think im done with the tournament as well. I didnt enjoy most of the argent dailies (the rest of the icecrown dailies are FAR more fun) and only got a couple factions to champion assuming that would be good enough for whatever came next.

The prospect of grinding out exalted with the other factions does not thrill me in the least. If anything it makes me want to quit the few argent dailies i still do because I know I wont be advancing to the next set.

Kudos to those of you that like / can tolerate that type of grind, its just not for me.

Why Blizzard is splitting normal and Heroic modes off on their own

Jun 23rd 2009 1:56PM (WoW)
The thing is....

They will never ever ever please the truly "hardcore".

Its been said a hundred times but theres 12 million players out there. Thats alot of people to try and keep happy and every bit of content released has to try and cater to as many of those players as possible.

The other side of the spectrum is the very casual players who will be bored of the 5man / daily quest grinding as well.

If theres a game that fits your playstyle better by all mean GO PLAY IT.

Completion rates on Wrath heroics

May 21st 2009 1:20PM (WoW)
Some of the heroics are fairly difficult if you are running them when you actually want the gear that drops from there.

Find your way into a naxx pug and youll gear quite a bit faster (especially as most new 80's probably know more than a few with naxx on farm)

Also the badge gear can help fill in some holes but as 10man naxx / heroic is now 2 item tiers behind I think they should start including more tier gear for badges for the valor sets. Most people able to get into naxx have 5/5 by now might as well help the slower guilds into 25/ uld 10.
