Snapdragon-powered Smartbooks: in case your smartphone / netbook ain't cutting it

May 28th 2009 2:43PM (Engadget)
Isn't this the exact thing Ryan called out Palm on with his open letter all those days ago? Correct me if I'm wrong, please, but this sounds just like the Palm Foleo which was ripped to shreds across the gadget world. (Side note: Thanks to Ryan for being directly responsible for inspiring Palm to create WebOS and the Pre.)

I would serve so much media from this thing...I'm drooling just thinking about it.

Mario Kart for SNES. Driving is definitely a sport.

The editor-in-chief giveaway: Win Ryan Block's video games

I would keep the DS and 360 games. I don't have a PS3 since I live in a house with air conditioning and since I don't have the need to open windows or run fans, my papers don't fly around all the time. The PS3 is a bloated paper weight.

E308: Live highlights from Nintendo's private conference

This is definitely true and I agree whole heartedly. Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't think I'm the only one who wasn't totally blown away by Wii Sports Resort. I realize the point of this conference isn't just a big game of one-up-manship, but it is to gather media attention for your biggest and (hopefully) best projects in the next coming year. If Nintendo is basically telling me that I need to buy a Balance Board AND a Wii MotionPlus to play they're games and then they have the nerve to cart out experiences like Wii Sports Resort, I'm frankly turned off. Does anyone agree? Disagree?

E308: Live highlights from Nintendo's private conference

I'll be the first one to admit that I'm a Nintendo fanboy. But I just cannot deny that they have let me down again. I picked up a Wii on launch day and I can count on one hand the number of good, adult oriented games. Its painful to sit on the sideline while all these other consoles get amazing software. Sure, I understand the whole "different audience" thing, but that 360 is looking juicier and juicier by the day. I can't help but agree with all the chatter the last few days, "Not another peripheral," "Animal Crossing = Core Gamer. (Seriously Reggie?)". Throw your core gamers a bone here Nintendo. We've patiently waited and sifted through mountains of shovelware for the few true gems in the lineup. Zelda please? A console Pokemon RPG? Give me a reason why I shouldn't commit adultery and run out to the (now-friendlier) Xbox camp.

Will this play all my fancy new HD DVDs? They're the cutting edge, its what all the kids are talking about.
