Maybe I missed something, but the review sounded like it was 90% difficulty that governed the 2 star score, other than a quick mention of one section where a box slid too much for comfort. And yet, Dark Souls and Demon's Souls got 4.5 and 4 stars, respectively, both being adored for their difficulty. Again, maybe I missed something in there after reading it again, but it seems odd to me.
I almost wonder if, had Bizarre not been bought by Activision, Blur would have sold well released elsewhere. I know of quite a few people who, at the time of its release, were very skeptical of buying anything that Activision had anything to do with, being right around the time of all sorts of "Activision is evil" talk. If Bizarre had still been owned by Microsoft, released under Microsoft, a part of me thinks Blur would have sold better.
That's not very portable if you have to actually plug it in to get it to turn on... I like the idea, don't get me wrong, and it looks nifty. But what's the point in a handheld system that you can't really go places with without worrying whether or not you'll be able to stick it into a wall socket?
Why would you build up our hopes like this? Before, I thought of Shenmue III as a dream game that would come out when the world is ending and pigs are flying and grass turns rainbow colored. Now, I can actually see the game happening again. And it shall drive me to insanity.
I'm the same way, but after the horrible time I had playing through KoToRII. Maybe I'll wait 'til this launches and follow a Let's Play or something to see if it looks okay enough to want to pick up. But, being Obsidian...
