It's also very important to note that Amazon will keep the Fire as the FIRST thing EVERY customer coming to Amazon.com sees. You wont see the Fire leave the Amazon front page until it is successful. That is something extremely powerful as well as something B&N just can't do. Also, the Nook Color hardware is really trashy - feels cheap, has bad battery life, and terrible Wi-fi connection issues.

I completely agree with what you've said here. There is a whole bunch of personality in the editors over at IGN.

This is very awkward news, considering (if you people actually listen to the IGN podcasts) that most of the editors at IGN talk down, down, down on Gamespot. I guarantee this was a merger that was completely out of the hands of the editors.

I'm not quite sure I see where you're going with that. If they had to use their real name, they would most likely not try and sell broken games, thus your described situation might not have happened at all.

This is brilliant, and I hope it sets a standard going forward. Web anonymity is dead. If you say it online, you should be comfortable saying it in the real world.
