I feel you, Bradwart. But keep in mind, the NES sales record is still really impressive and will always remain so. For one thing, back then, kids were the only ones who played video games. Every age group plays video games now. Also, the population is much bigger today, and basically a few other things have happened that have significantly raised the ceiling for sales of video game systems.

The NES accomplished what it did even without advantages like that. It's a truly impressive record that will stand the test of time.
