You're argument is stupid. Sony & PSP has its own video format, Sony screwed up and it is no longer a viable format for profit. I can't pull/stream video and movie downloads from my Xbox 360 or Tivo Amazon Box purchases to play on my Mac, iPod or PSP. Apple controls its DRM because unlike the companies you are defending, Apple has kept the same rules applied to its DRM, there aren't levels or tiers of DRM like the flawed PlayforSure DRM you are defending. Also, MPAA and RIAA don't want you transferring your DVDs and CDs to you computer and mp3 players, why they suddenly want you to able to transfer video and music from iTunes...? Oh right, DRM.

With all these lawsuits, it amazes me how no one ever questions "Microsoft+Zune+Playforsure" or "Sony+whatever-week-it-is" and their Mac compatibility...

That had to be the most phallic ship in a video game this year.

Emrys, you sound like ass. And spoiled. Don't even get me started about being "screwed over." I bought the last Powerbook spending $3000 on it only to have Intel chips, exclusive software and built-in camera double the performance three months later. I didn't get a refund or credit.

I'm not completely against what is shown here, I could see taking a few in directions similar to this making the iPod more attractive in presentation, though with the lack of CoverFlow I can't really buy it. Apple is pushing CoverFlow through 10.5 and iPhone, it's something I think we'll see here too.

The next un-Apple-like feature is the battery life icon and menubar inconsistently shrinking and extending (just to show only part of an album cover?), its not something a company familiar with great UI would have a user searching for with their eyes every screen.

Still waiting for Sonic and other Sega characters to be included...
