Pop Cap is now a premier developer in my eyes. They might make what most would call "casual" experiences, but because they are designed that way, they have many strengths. You can play their games for 10 minutes, or 1 hour, and they are accessible meaning you don't have to focus on them entirely.
No point in a game magazine when all your "exclusive news" will be posted on the gaming blogs before the magazine even gets sent out to the subscribers.
Maybe the features will pull people in. Who knows? But the Canadian pricing will keep me from subscribing, that is for sure.
