Oct 22nd 2009 12:11PM (Joystiq)FYI cheating wasn't rampant on the PC. There were a few asshats who cheated but the tools presented to people who ran servers made it fairly easy to spot them and ban them.
The reason I'm not buying MW2 is simply match and scrim play. The game like most games needs tweeks to weed out elements of play that don't jive with scrim and match play.
Another great reason is ping... as a console play you gave up your right to play on servers that have good ping for you at will. Your stuck with a system that "pairs" you with players based on a number of attributes. If you care to read up on console match making services you'll find that it is one of the most complained about subjects. They consistently place you in matches with people close to your skill level and sacrifice connection quality.
Further more I don't enjoy playing people of my own skill level. I like playing people who are better than me. Why? Because it forces me to get better. I don't get much satisfaction laying waste to people who don't know how to play. Well alright it's fun every now and again.
You'll no doubt have some baseless rebuttal, fire away.
