@Churrotastic The reason this lawsuit existed is because companies are required to defend their trademarks and other pieces of intellectual property against infringement or they will lose it. Trademarks especially are vulnerable to loss because of how loose the regulation on them is (they're the only form of IP to be recognized at the state level) and the fact that they can become the word that people default to describe a type of product. For instance, Xerox is in danger of losing their trademark to that name because people will say "can you Xerox that for me" to refer to copying.

I just checked the website to see how legit it looked and it's already suspended.

@mietha Please direct me to the sections of the bill that allow the government to censor whatever they want to then. Until then, I'll be reading SOPA/playing Battlefield 3.

@Stevetrop Man of Mystery SOPA is different from my understanding. As far as I know, it's not based on whether the content is morally objectionable, just whether or not it's illegal.

@SecondTomorrow I doubt it. I'm pretty sure somebody put that number there when they made the texture.
