2: I honestly doubt it's going to be a port of either. MS has been working on a version of SoC for a few years now. there's a version that's available on MS Zone, and more than likely it'll be a more polished version of that.

In any event, prepare for the new most addicting game on XBL.

Streets of Rage using a modified VF engine would be great. I just hope they don't attempt the FPS game that the Dreamcast game was going to be. That was an abortion just waiting to happen.

It amazes me how very few funny titles there are. One guy even tries to pass off a sin city cover thing in a weird "HEY LOOK AT ME" bullshit way of attempting to enter the contest.

FM Towns Marty had some weird games for it, one of them was a remake of the PC Engine classic Dead of the Brain. A Zombie munching Snatcher-ish game, it had TONS of new gory as hell art. One of hte goriest images was a dog just chomping right into a guy's skull and ripping out his brain :D

Ol' gorefiends like me love this stuff.

Opie and Anthony XM 202 and Free FM.

I think i know the guy who made that one, and obviously it's done in jest. Germany and Russia weren't exactly good friends way back when.

There is a LOT of stuff that was left out of this that only channels like G4 really cover with their icons series. I was really disappointed.

to #1. You have absolutely no fucking clue what you're talking about.

Sirius is run closer to an FM station. There's a multitude of commercials. I've actually listened to a ten minute commercial break on sirius. I can understand 3 or 4 commercials an hour on the talk channels, but jesus. Ten minutes of commercials on a music channel? Does a board op need a ten minute pee break?

Then there's the whole throwing money at stuff hoping for success problem. Howard switched over to sirius for half a billion dollars, and with 3.5 million subs paying 12.95 a month (there's actually also a rate increase of 2 dollars coming in a couple weeks!) how do you expect them to be able to pay it other than with commercials? Never mind that they have to pay eminem, bam margera, martha stewart, etc etc etc. Do you honestly think that those people aren't going to put their hand out and ask for money for their work?

Then there's the no real portable unit. It's basically a tape recorder. Congrats Sirius, you re-invented the tape recorder while XM is able to get live streaming, a buffer, live recording, and they're working on video for their portable units. Way to go!

Then there's the programming choices, sirius tries to get more and more non-DJs for their programming (remember the pamela anderson radioshow? yuck) whereas the DC based XM tends to hire radio professionals such as erick logan and tends to put more money into research and developement than sirius does.

All in all, this is what sirius is hoping for, hardware that both XM and sirius can co-exist on. I've got news for you sirius, it's not happening.

Another plus for xm. They've created the passport system. They've done away with having to pay six bucks for each additional unit by giving you a passport you can switch in and out with units so you can go from your car to your portable to your home unit without having to pay that extra 12 bucks a month. Needless to say, sirius doesn't have any plans for this.
