Joyswag: Win Grand Theft Auto IV on your platform of choice [Day 4]

Xbox 360

The only time I caught flak from my significant other was when she watched me play Gears of War. I was pretty much forbidden from playing the game while she was around.

I'm stuck in the Mac purgatory; I love this little 12" powerbook, but I'm absolutely crippled as for gaming. So, specs look like:

Machine Name: PowerBook G4 12"
Machine Model: PowerBook6,8
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (1.2)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 1.5 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 1.25 GB
Bus Speed: 167 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.9.0f0
Serial Number: 4H5310B4RJ5
Sudden Motion Sensor:
State: Enabled
Version: 1.0

Oh, and I don't know what any of that info means. At one time this was a hot little laptop, but...

I was called to give blood today. Did a really cool type, where they get two units of red blood cells instead of the typical one unit of whole blood. It takes a bit longer, since they extract a pint, put it through a centrifuge, and return the plasma and additional saline solution, and repeat the process, but you leave feeling cooled down (the returning fluid is colder than your body, and causes chills!) and fine, rather than nauseous.

Highly recommended, call your local blood bank, and make a donation!

I love rolling over the small children. I just wish they went squish.

Why not just have a monthly or bimonthly limit, like elections here: if you win one week, you're put in a 'winner's circle' for a month, so your strip is featured for the next three weeks in that winner's circle, but not included on the 'vote on' list. That way you'd have real variety, and kids would have to read a few strips each week, rather than just voting blindly. After three weeks in the winner's circle, your shot back into regular circulation. It'll give anyone a chance, but also allow greats like PA to be recognized as such.

What do you think?

Awesome, but...where's the second stick? It'd be even sweeter if I could play Smash TV the way it was meant to be played, not to mention geometry wars...

Alright, really stupid question, but...

The O.C. is in 720p. How come it looks so grainy? Other shows at that resolution look clearer. Is it their "softening" lenses being used?

Thanks!

Terminal Tip: Keep your Mac portable from waking when the lid is opened

Oct 10th 2006 12:25AM (TUAW.com)
Does this work with the ipod disconnecting? The other day, I closed the 'Book, then pulled the iPod off (without properly disconnecting), which awakened my laptop, meaning reopen, wait a second or two, then closing.

So, anyone wanna test before I open up the Unix prompt?
