I have had every console made since the intellivision, except for the PS2. I loved the PS1. I would have bought a PS2 but I hated the direction Final Fantasy was going. Then came the xbox, end of story.

Now I have the 360 which I bought at launch. Although, I am still waiting for some RPG's that are good. I hate Oblivion. I would love to play a next gen baldaurs gate or an old school RPG.I love XBLA games, but they are not as good as I expected, yet.

I used to pay a quater to play Pac-Man. Free would be good.

The whole idea of a marketplace is a scam. How were we ever fooled into believing this would benefit us? I am begining to dislike M$ more and more each day. gaming has gone to hell. Soon we will have to pay 200 ms points just to turn on the damn console.

And you can forget about ever modding the 360. As long as they have everyone hooked up to their system, they can update your console at any time without your consent.

I bought a launch console it broke in august '06 I think and it was repaired for free and free shipping. It broke again two weeks ago and they gave me 50% off the repair price and I had to pay shipping( 69.99 plus 19.99 to ship) Does this mean that I should have had a year warranty on the first repair and I will be getting a refund for the second repair?

I would also like to know what the failure rate of the launch consoles was. Not the failure rate of all the 360's produced. Because Microsoft loves to say that they are within normal failure rates for electronics, but they are adding in all consoles produced, even the ones produced today to figure the %. So they are skewing the the % in their favor. And they will add the consoles produced tommorow to further lower that failure rate. ASSHOLES! Everyone I know that bought a launch console has had at least one failure. And for you people who say it hasn't happened to you, it will just be patient.

The 360 will lose the console wars unless microsoft does something drastic to stay ahead. First of all they need to deal strongly with the issues of overheating. I could give a rats ass how much they charge for a hard drive or HDMI. What I am concerned with, is how many more times will I have to ship this peice of shit back to them to get fixed. But I don't think they will address this problem, it will take a class action law suit to force them to. And why would anyone upgrade to the elite knowing it has the same chips as the defective 360's. The only way I would ever upgrade is if it had the better chips. Also, the fact that they are even making a better chip is admitting that they put out a defective one.

Second, they need a price drop. The release of the elite and the new HD amounts to a price increase. Because those who have bought premium 20gb systems, will end up having paid $580 for the same system without HDMI.

Also, it won't be long before the PS3 has a large catalog of games too, so microsoft better tighten up.

#8 you hit the nail on the head. It is a 2D game always will be. They need to use all the hardwares power to make the graphics kick ass in a 2D world. Think of all the power they could use if they didn't use it to render 3D worlds.

I would like to see more old games rebuilt from the ground up using the full processing power on graphics, rather than using all that power on 3D environments.

If you think Gears Of War had good graphics imagine what they could do in a 2D world.

When Mortal Kombat came out, it had the best graphics ever in a game, because of all the advancements made and digitization. But right after that, games went to 3D, and its like everything started from scratch again. They should go back to the way games used to be made. It would be amazing.

I thought Sony had made every claim in the book for the pS3, now it focking cures cancer. OMG. This is such a focking PR stunt. First of all computers will never play much of a role in curing cancer. The cure for cancer will be discovered in real world test and experiments, by using blood test, MRI, chemicals, ect. not the focking PS3

Games and movies have real world implications. other country's do not have freedom of speech, or freedom of ideas even if it is fiction. Look at all the movies in the 70's and 80's that portrayed Arabs as idiots, if you think those movies didn't affect how Arabs feel about Americans you are ignoring the truth.

My 360 doesn't seem to love me, It keeps staring at me with one red eye. It's pretty creepy and scary, I think it is mad at me.
