First, you're only comparing the margin on console, which is absurd. What about games ? How much margin do retailers get on X360 games and Wii games ? Because that's what can make the difference for any retailer smart enough to think "long term".
Second : saying that it's harder to make a 400$ sale than a 250$ one is only partially true because here, we're talking about prices that remains under the psychological threshold of a big purchase (meaning more than 500 bucks) and about a difference on what you get. Wii and X360 are not equal. You're not trying to convince someone to pay more for the same product.
Third : How hard can it be to convince. I mean, you'll have two kind of customers : those who know which console they want and trying to convince them is a waste of time. Those who don't know and then, that's you JOB to convince them to buy what's the most interesting for you. And to me, having a higher profit (not percentage but actual dollars) on the X360 might be a reason good enough to motivate you.
"mix of action and strategy that has defined the series", really ? Because the very first KUF was on PC a mix of RTS and RPG. Then it became a mix of RTS and Action on Xbox. Then it's becoming a mix of RPG and action on Xbox 360.
So i'm not sure about what define the serie... Maybe the title "Circle" is the right one...
Well, I've watched many Crackdown movies (in hi-re) and find it pretty neat. The design might be special but I really like this 80's comics tone. We can see many real-time shadows, environemental reflections on cars, nice distortion effet with explosions, physics, impressive line of sight... and no camera problems.
Still have to actually play it, but many previews (both on web or in the least Edge) where quite positives.
Seriously, what's wrong with Joystiq bloggers ? Are those send to the X06 living in another dimension the rest of the time ? Today, one is complaining about actual gameplay while it's the first time WE, READERS, ever see it. Yesterday, another one wasen't aware that Team Fortress 2 was Cell shaded (it's been around for at least two month), was complaning that there was no gameplay footages of Bioshock and Blue Dragon (wake up man, it has been all over the place thanks to TGS), seems to discover Lost Odyssey (same thing : video every where)...
Maybe Joystiq bloggers should read Joystiq website, and other ones.
