@R Planteer The difference is that this is completely optional for the Mac OS. Adobe, for example, can still release whatever it wants just like it does now. The plus is that this is a great thing for smaller developers who either have trouble getting the word out about their software or who have problems with piracy. This will also allow developers to sell their software for a lower price since they won't have to worry (as much) about piracy.
