EVERYONE wants a free OS, yet most people stick with Windows.

This is essetially a free, non pirated copy of Windows - you think there is a big market for Wine but not this?

Wow, what a load of FUD!!! Please list these "lots of problems" and be very specific and descriptive. "MY favorite application doesn't work in Vista" is not a valid response.

Also - what advertising are you talking about? I have had Vista Installed since Beta 2 and I don't see ads anywhere

Also _ I am running this OS on a 4 year our gaming laptop and it run fine WITH Aero - so what about "tremendous power" were you saying?

ANYWAY - REACTOS is cool, I hope they can get generate more interest so they can get things done faster, I have been following this for a while and I was hoping they would be further a long by now.

Care to explain how? It offers all of the benefits of CRT only in a flat panel form factor. That makes it the best hdtv (or ANY display) solutin anyone has come with yet. I have not heard of one solution that woul dmake SED 'obsolete.'

I here some people mention OLED, but that has its own problems and there is nothing to report that would make anyone beleive it would best SED. It might one day equal SED, but its going to take time.

Anyway - they need to get off their asses; I have been yearning for SED for years and still have not heard of anything that could best it, other then perhaps a traditional CRT (if that) and I want a flat panel.

Oh well, last year a bought a really high end SOny LCD HDTV - so perhaps by the time this tech comes out and is within my affordability range, I will be in the market for a new tv.

So the xbox 360 is losing crap exclusives and the ps3 is losing quality exclusives...

I havent heard of one 360 exclusive going to ps3 that was really great - on the other hand, previously announced exclusives for the ps3 that people might actually want to play in large numbers are losing their exclusivity..

Also - Saints Row isnt official, but that wouldnt surprise me since its a (great) knock off of GTA and both consoles are getting GTA on day one...

@ 41 - NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Sony deserves ZERO leeway. They delayed their console more then once but atleast 6 months. They also had a competitor to wathc for a year to see what they did right or wrong.

So what do we have here? crap luanch with only one good game who aveage reviwe scoew is only like 88 or 89% (Resistance); botches features across the board and just a sense that things are rushed or just not read yet?

Gee, they really spend that past year of xbox 360 and the past 6 months of their own delay REALLY well! :-P

A) 360 was less mediocre at launch then ps3; and considering the year and $100-$200 differnce, thats really lame

B) anyone who thinks tha the sony online is comparible to xbox live is smoking really grat crack - please share!

Typoical - the cows are out apologising for sony. You would have thought that at luanch things would be going better and all us people giving sony crap with be eating our words... odd its still the other way around.

LEt me also clear up somethings said aboe:

Gears is not just "slighty prettier" then Resistance - its heads and shoulds above it, and unless you have palyed both like me, you cant object. GeOw on EVERY level is better then Resistance. END OF STORY!

Also - MS has not wasted their year long headstart. The have over 100 games out of the system, more then jus tone worthwhile game - and they have atleast 7mm consoles SOLD. They also have a bunhc of AAA-AAAA titles coming out this winter/early 2007 and in the spring. THEY ARE SITTING PRETTY!

One more thing - noone here has an opinion of the ps3 or its launhc or of sony that isnt 100% deserved and earned. what ISNT deserved and earned is your loyalty and apologising and excusing for them.

Except that Gears of War owns Res:FOM in pretty much everway.

Average review score of REs is like 88 or 89 and noone is "amazed" but it; Geears is averageing 95 and i heard plenty say "game of the year"

(one moight also point aht while the Zelda game is getting similarly great - if not flightly better - review scores, noone is saying "game of the year" - interesting, huh?)

sorry, the whole "it just launched/give it more time" excuse and trying to make us remember how this is not to different then the 360 launch makes NO senese. They delayed the console for atealst 6 months and oinly due to blu ray diodes. Ther fore, they ahve 6 more months to poish everything else - and still the out of box experience is paled to the out of box 360 experince of a year ago -a console which was deemed to be "rushed."

Sorry, this is unacceptalble - Sony had lots of time to smooth everything over and yet its THEIR console that comes across as "rushed" and "not ready" when it DOES come out a year later.

Oh I forogt, we have to pardon and axcuse sony for whatever they do - including the bs lies...
