Also, was that price announced yet in Japan? Is this a price drop or the first they've heard of it? Also, is this worldwide or just in that region?
P.S. Why is it a big deal that the price is including tax? They have a national sales tax, which makes it easy for companies to quote a tax inclusive price. I believe almost every advertised product there has tax included in the advertised price.

But oh well, there's still 8 games I want at launch(MP3 was pushed back) so I'm still all over it.

You would plug the Wii in the front somewhere, and let it handle the accelerometers, wireless transmission, and power the thing. The peripheral itself would just need the frets, strum bar and whammy bar.
Hell, maybe they could even use that speaker for something.
I was really about to buckle and buy a PS2 for this series, I'm so glad it will be on other systems.
