Joyswag: Dreamcast Collection, soundtrack vinyl and 'Still Thinking' hoodie

Mar 21st 2011 6:35PM (Joystiq)
My favorite Dreamcast game would be House of the Dead 2. I spent many nights dual wielding pistols killing ninja and ax wielding zombies. Never could beat that last boss though... Now I want to go pick up the House of the Dead collection for the Wii!

This looks like a really cool use of Kinect, if it works well. But there really needs to be more great and inovative games in order for me to purchase Kinect in the first place, and I'm not talking about a wii sports nock off...

LGJ: Are game resales at risk?

Sep 15th 2010 10:22PM (Joystiq)
That is the question, but the idea behind selling a game, movie, or CD is that you are buying a licence, even if it the physical copy... which is what you agree to when you click yes under terms of service...

LGJ: Are game resales at risk?

Sep 15th 2010 10:20PM (Joystiq)
phew... long article. I really hope that used game sales don't go out of buisnes, but even if they do, I have caught up on all of my used gaming so it wont really affect me. What does bug me though, is this first sale concept. Game publishers sell mass copies of games to retailers like wal-mart, target, and even gamestop. So if this is taken into effect, wouldn't it be illegal for these retailers to then sell the games to customers, even if they are new and unopened copies? Would this mean that if a retailer wanted to be able to sell games would they have to become an associate or even a part of the publisher? This would mean that the only stores that could realistically sell new games would be the microsoft, sony, and nintendo store.... very troubling indeed....

Joyswag: Halo: Reach 'Legendary Edition' giveaway

Sep 14th 2010 4:37PM (Joystiq)
This is just like a zombie invasion, except they have lazers. I'd probably take my intergalactic fleet that I have in my back yard, just in case those aliens sneeze in my direction. Not to mention my xbox, halo reach, and my own internet set up between all of mai ships! lol, there'd only be like 100 people online, XD. Sigh... I'd also need my own servers too.... in that case, someone from bungie too, one of the smart ones.

SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3 requires PSN activation for online play

Feb 17th 2010 1:11PM (Joystiq)
This is another reason why I will never buy a PS3, if they start to only allow people to play fundamental aspects of the game if they buy brand new there will be no reason to buy PS3 Games used, so either everyone will start shelling out $60.00 per game, or people will move over to the 360 where you can have access to everything fundamental to the game and something extra, like another character, or buy used and still have access to every key aspect of the game. First sony takes away backwards compatability, then they try to compensate by releasing consoles with much larger hard drives, and now they are destroying their game sales by not allowing used games to have the entire game play experience. Sony will eventually die, microsoft ftw.
