But MS isn't force feeding us a proprietory format like BluRay and MS isn't forcing us to buy hardware we don't want like HD-DVD disc drives either. We can have it if we 'want' it.

This is turning out to be an interesting battle for the living room. But for now, my money's going to MS for the Zune/360 combo and the Wii.

I hear alot worse on XBox Live, believe you me. I think that Vlad was trying to be 'cute' but it back-fired. I also think that, yeah, we live in a very punitive society and he should have been more careful with his choice of words. Personally, I was not offended but I can see how someone could be. But in the end, I just think that all should chill, I'm sure Vlad is being reprimanded now (or already has been). I don't think a public apology would be asking too much, however, I think once (if it is done) it's done, we should all put it to rest.

I just checked out the site Hector was talking about and to be honest, I think the 360 looks better. The only next logical step up in graphics to be noticeable I think would be to actually appear 'cinemarealistic'. We're at the 'photorealistic' now...

10. I have to echo billybil's comment. I appreciate the new format, but one of my favorite things to do while reading Joystiq is to read the comments left by its patrons. When I try to view the full Joystiq to go back to the comments, it redirects me to the m.joystiq.com Web site.
